The 6-2 Rams travel up the Centreville to take on the Queen Anne’s Lion 4-4. The Lions having come off a successful campaign against Wicomico looked to challenge the Rams in what could be a make or break for both teams with concerns for post season play. The Lions started on offense and were able to move the ball pretty successfully down the field score on their first possession. The Rams Running behind the big offensive line were able to meet the challenge and continue to put the Rams in position to score. The Defense was going to respond. Steve Ewing OLB had to step into the Middle linebacker position because of an injury to another inside backer. Playing out a position is tough but when Steven makes his mind up to do something, he cant be stopped. Controlling the defense the Defense ended up locking down the Queen Anne’s Offense. The Toughest part wasn’t that it just happened on Defense. You see, Steven is also the Punter. When the Offense stalled Steven and his leg were able to push the Queen Anne’s offense deep into their own zone multiple times throughout the entire night. Remember we had a Nor’easter coming through, it was raining buckets out in Centreville and the wind was significantly imposing. Nothing was stopping the Rams this evening though. Steve and his play on all sides of the ball helped push the rest of his teams towards the Win that was huge for the Parkside Program. Beating Queen Anne’s for the first time in 15 years and solidifying a spot in the 2 A East playoff bracket. Look for the Rams to bounce back for their last regular season game this upcoming Thursday November 1st at County Stadium at 6:30pm vs the Washington High School Jaguars.
