Parkside High School Tough Guy Winner – Week 2

Week 2

Delmar vs Parkside a match up that has not occurred in the last 25 years. Delmar a perennial powerhouse in the Cape Henlopen South for years., travelled to Salisbury riding high on their 42-35 win over St. Mary’s of Annapolis, A private school with some descent football strength and speed. The Wildcats, coached by future Delaware High School Hall of Famer David Hearne, brought their explosive Wing T offense and 4- 3 defense to take on the Parkside Rams Double Tight Wishbone and 3-4 Defense. The Rams coming off of loss to the North Caroline Bulldogs, were looking to improve their record and get into the win column. The Rams Game plan was simple, hydrate, work hard and DO FOOTBALL. The Rams led by Devian White rushed for over 200+ yards on the ground. Devian had 2 TDS and some seriously tough runs as he escaped and ran through defenders all day. The Rams commanded a 42-7 victory, with great team play and desire. This week the Rams are home against a semi-familiar foe in Wicomico High School, coached by first year head coach, Isaiah Taylor.
