Hello all from Atlantic Physical Therapy! From our very own outpatient Occupational Therapy clinic in Berlin, Md. Sometimes in conjunction with soft tissue massage, passive Range of motion, and strengthening we come across individuals that benefit from an assistive device such as a Dynasplint. This device aids in achieving more range of motion. My current client is using a Dynasplint for two hours a day to help increase supination (palm up motion). Today this client stated with the use of their Dynasplint, that he can now hold a book better with just his left hand after a period using this device. The goal of Occupational therapy is to promote self-care, Independence, and leisure activity.
