Sally Hawkins, OTR/L, CLT, CHT
Specialty: UE Orthopedics, Hand Therapy/ Splinting. Women's Health: Breast Cancer Rehabilitation, Lymphedema and Osteoporosis.
Sally Hawkins received a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Towson State University in 1986. Sally has been practicing Occupational Therapy for over 20 years - 10 years of which she treated in the Baltimore area followed by the remaining years of practice in the Salisbury/ Ocean City area. Sally specializes in upper extremity orthopedic conditions, hand therapy/ custom splinting, breast cancer recovery, Lymphedema (upper and lower) and osteoporosis (home exercise program).
The Hand Therapy Certification Commission, Inc., the only organization granting hand therapy certification in the Untied States, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, India and South Africa is proud to announce that Sally Hawkins has met all requirements set forth by the commission. These requirements include at least five years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist, a minimum of 4,000 hours in direct practice in hand therapy , and successful completion of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper limb rehabilitation. There are approximately only 5,400 individuals worldwide that hold this marked designation.
Charles Curran, PT
Charles is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. He has a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. He was Director of Rehabilitation at Bel Air Rehabilitation and Nursing Center (Hanford County, MD) and Mercy Hospital's Transitional Care Unit (Baltimore). He has practiced in various settings including outpatient, inpatient, and home care.
Heather Little, PTA
Heather Little graduated with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Delaware Technical and Community College. Heather has clinical experience in neurological rehab., pediatrics, aquatic therapy, orthopedics, and sports rehab. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the Maryland Chapter of APTA, and the sports section of the APTA. Heather's areas of interests are neurology, orthopedic and sports rehab.
Phillip Tyre, DPT, ATC
Phillip received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, after graduating from Salisbury Univesity with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training in 2002. He has practiced in inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and athletic/sports surgical rehabilitation of sports-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and treatment of patients with disabilities affecting daily living. He has a strong foundation in manual therapy and plans to obtain his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in the near future.
Earl “Randy” Smullen
Randy graduated with an Associates in Applied Science degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Delaware Technical & Community College in Georgetown, DE. He has clinical experience in skilled nursing facilities, aquatic therapy, hospital in and out patient settings. Randy has a special interest in geriatrics and sports rehabilitation.
Wm. David Bennett, PTA
Dave graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville with an Associate of Science degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Dave has clinical experience in skilled nursing, aqua therapy, transitional/acute care, orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. He is a member of the APTA and has special interests in neuro rehab, orthopedics/sports care.
Michelle Friedman, DPT
Michelle is a graduate of Drexel University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program with a concentration in orthopedics and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from George Washington University. She has experience in inpatient settings, outpatient settings, and clinical instruction. She is certified in custom splint making and functional capacity evaluations. She plans on obtaining her certification in orthopedic specialty in the near future.
